Microsoft Access ClassIn the Microsoft Access Advanced class, you will expand your knowledge to the  specialized, advanced capabilities of Access.  Explore advanced features like structuring existing data, writing advanced queries, working with macros (automation), enhancing forms and reports, and maintaining the database efficiently.  Scheduled in private groups or one-on-one, this advanced Access training will help you finish your next database application project.

Each session of Microsoft Access Advanced will explore customization features that turn your simple database into an application with user interfaces and custom Access reports.  Find out how to secure your data and create a database to answer the exact questions you need.

As you work through the sessions of Microsoft Access Advanced, each class will be a hands-on and intensive workshop, designed to help make difficult topics easier to understand. Your instructor, a Microsoft expert, will work with you closely to make sure that you avoid common mistakes in Access and apply best practices when possible.

Objectives

Upon successful completion of the Microsoft Access Advanced class, students will be able to:

  • Restructure data into appropriate tables to ensure data dependency and minimize redundancy
  • Write advanced queries to analyze and summarize data
  • Create and revise Microsoft Office Access macros
  • Customize reports by using various Microsoft Office Access features
  • Maintain their databases using Microsoft Office Access tools

Prerequisites

  • Basic digital literacy including file management is required.
  • Microsoft Access Beginners (Level 1) or equivalent knowledge is required.
  • Microsoft Access Intermediate (Level 2) or equivalent knowledge is required.
  • Microsoft Excel Beginners (Level 1) or equivalent knowledge is highly recommended.
  • It is required you install the latest Microsoft Office software before starting class.
